Where should a roof-mount power attic fan be placed on a roof?
The power fan should be installed a few feet below the peak of the roof centered on the roof as best as possible.
The power fan should be installed a few feet below the peak of the roof centered on the roof as best as possible. If multiple power fans are being installed because of the roof's large attic square footage, position the fans equal distance from each other; both a few feet below the peak of the roof. NOTE: As is the case with all attic exhaust vents (ridge vents, wind turbines, gable louvers, roof louvers/box vents, and power fans) never mix or combine two different types on the same roof above a common attic because it could short-circuit the attic ventilation system (inefficient airflow; possible weather infiltration).
