Is it OK to move The Edge Vent up the roof for a Bungalow style house

If it is an open soffit with exposed rafter tails it is OK to move The Edge Vent up the roof 2-3 feet.

Air Vent's allowance for up the roof applications is exclusively for cold or exposed soffits (also called open soffits in which the attic begins up the roof not at the very low edge of the roof). The Edge Vent can be installed up the roof 2-3 feet in those situations to where the vent slot will bring air into the attic space, preferably within 12 inches of where the attic begins. We do allow for installation of The Edge Vent on mansard/gambrel roofs where the transition from steep pitch to low pitch is made. The  The vent can be installed at the transition on the low slope side of the roof deck. Other than these, Air Vent does not recommend any installation deviations for the product.
