It is not OK to duct a bathroom exhaust fan directly to the underside of a ridge vent.
It is not OK to duct a bathroom exhaust fan directly to the underside of a ridge vent. It's best to duct a bathroom exhaust fan vertically through a roof to a dedicated vent designed for bathroom venting equipped with a damper. If it cannot be exhausted vertically through the roof, take the ductwork out to the side, gable wall of the house to a dedicated vent designed for bathroom venting.
