# Is it acceptable to install continuous soffit vents at an angle? Is it OK to install continuous soffit vents in the rake? Is it OK to install intake vents in the rake of the roof?

## It is not recommend installing continuous soffit vents or any intake vents inside the rake because rakes typically do not connect to the main attic.

Air Vent does not recommend installing them inside the rake because rakes typically do not connect to the main attic and, as a result, would not have an exhaust outlet. Additionally, the angle of the vent placed in the rake could contribute to wind-driven weather infiltration.
