Galvanized Roofing Panels can be painted. This is one of the many benefits to metal roofing. Painting can be done to extend the life of the panels or simply to create a different look. As long as the old finish is well adhered to the metal, it will provide a great surface for a new coating. If you decide to paint we recommend using a good quality DTM (Direct To Metal) paint. To prepare the surface wipe down with (50/50) vinegar and water solution, this will remove any residue remaining from fabrication. Then we suggest a primer followed by a top coat and recommend using a DTM (Direct to Metal) Paint.
