As with all metal roofing, it is best to install a roof curb first to mount Air Vent roof louvers and powered roof vents to (excluding ridge vents). Check with the roofing panel manufacturer to determine what roof curb flashing may be available and for guidelines on how to install any product to a roof curb. The only guidelines that Air Vent has is that the product flange be flashed/sealed so that there is no water infiltration and that the product be installed with a minimum of 8 roofing fasteners that are long enough to fully penetrate the support sheathing beneath the flange (per Texas Department of Insurance Roof Vent Evaluation Report RV-20).
