Can the 8 ft. Corrugated Galvanized Steel Utility-Gauge Roof Panels be used in a bathroom shower?

The panels can be used for shower application

The panels can be used for shower application though we do not have installation instructions for this use. Waterproofing showers and tubs correctly is the most important interior moisture-proofing you can do. Waterproofing behind the panels begin with a membrane to protect the structure and then overlay with either a green board, waterproof gypsum board, concrete board or concrete float. We recommend using a 1" x 1" furring strip to keep the panels off the wall just a little. It is important to make sure the water is not going to get in between the panels. For interior corners you could use galvanized flashing bent to be used behind the panels and for an outside corner you could use some plastic corner guards spray painted with a plastic hammered silver spray paint to give them the look of galvanized metal. Then caulk to adhere them to the corners to cover the sharp edge. It would be a good idea to coat the panels with a rust inhibitor paint, polyurethane or some other type of spray-on clear coat.
