For the direct-drive whole-house fan products, the fan blade is mounted above the motor in assembly (it must be inverted before installation). The fan should be positioned on the motor shaft at an elevation that places the top 1/3 of the fan depth above the top edge of the fan shroud. - [Default HubSpot Blog](https://semetals-1971711.hs-sites.com/blog) [![Gibraltar Building Accessories Logo](https://help.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/GBAD.jpg?width=2500&height=777&name=GBAD.jpg "Gibraltar Building Accessories Logo")](https://www.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com/) www.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com Help Center Copyright © 2026, Gibraltar Building Accessories Division
