Using any exhaust vent for intake ventilation potentially can cause problems due to weather infiltration; therefore, Air Vent does not recommend this application. Another problem with vents low on a roof (roof louvers, for example) is the amount of water shedding over them. These vents are designed to be used near the ridge and thus are not affected by large amounts of water run off.
