A house that is wider than 75 feet (that's eave to eave in a horizontal line regardless or roof pitch) will not be suitable for ridge vent because it will not provide the needed airflow for the overall volume of attic space. Multiple wind turbines or box vents (also called roof louvers) would be an option. The needed quantity of these vents would depend on the airflow capacity of each and the attic's square footage. It would be best to keep the vents on the same side of the roof in a single row.
