The screen that comes inside the Air Vent Bath/Dryer Vent is intended to be removed for dryer venting applications prior to installation. It can be removed by sliding your hand up from under the throat of the vent (pushing the damper up with your hand) and then pushing on the screen from inside the vent. Pushing on the screen from inside the vent allows the screen to be slightly dislodged. Then it can slide out in front. However, removing the screen after installation is not easily accomplished without the likelihood of making the screen unusable thereafter. For example, a pair of pliers could be used to remove (pull) the screen out but you would likely not be able to re-install the screen. - [Default HubSpot Blog](https://semetals-1971711.hs-sites.com/blog) [![Gibraltar Building Accessories Logo](https://help.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/GBAD.jpg?width=2500&height=777&name=GBAD.jpg "Gibraltar Building Accessories Logo")](https://www.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com/) www.gibraltarbuildingproducts.com Help Center Copyright © 2026, Gibraltar Building Accessories Division
