Can I paint your metal ridge vents?

We do not recommend painting our metal ridge vents. The initial coat is a pre-coat on the raw metal coil before it is formed and is therefore extremely stable. Typically when a ridge vent is painted, the new paint will not last much more than a year before it starts to chip and peel off.
