Can a wind turbine designed for residential applications be used on a commercial flat roof?

A wind turbine designed for residential applications should not be used on a commercial flat roof.

Air Vent wind turbines have an adjustable collar because they were designed to be installed on a pitched residential roof. If they had been designed for installation on a flat roof (common in commercial applications) they would have a fixed collar and a flanged base so that they could be installed on a curb. There are commercial grade products on the market for commercial projects.
