Is it OK to move The Edge Vent up the roof 1 inch to avoid rain overshooting the gutter?

If overshooting the gutter is a serious concern and moving the vent up the roof an inch solves this concern keep in mind the following: With moving it up the roof the installer will need to consider the weatherproofing required in front of the vent like any up the roof application. which will add quite a bit of work to the install for minimal gain. It also may not take nearly as long to ice over as it would if the water could drain into a gutter/off the roof for the same amount of time.
