Is it OK to use an automatic foundation vent in a garage attic door?

It is not recommended to use an automatic foundation vent in a garage attic door.

Air Vent does not recommend this due to the fact that sometimes the garage door will be open and sometimes it will be closed. This change along with the vibration of the door may not work well with the louvers and spring in the vent. The Air Vent slider vent may work best because when it gets cold outside the customer can manually close the vents to hold any heat in and have reliable operation. It will also fit a little bit better being more flush with the overhead door than an automatic vent would be.
