Is it OK to choke or reduce the slot cut for ShingleVent II ridge vent in order to balance it with the intake ventilation installed?
Although it is not an ideal situation because choking/reducing the vent slot opening does not utilize the vent's full Net Free Area capacity, it is an acceptable application.
Although it is not an ideal situation because choking/reducing the vent slot opening does not utilize the vent's full Net Free Area (airflow) capacity, it is an acceptable application. Thus, reducing the required 1.5-inch slot to become a 1-inch slot would be OK.
