If the Radon Power Vents are not blowing from the outside into the crawlspace, is it possible the wrong motor has been installed during the assembly process?
If the radon unit is pulling air out of the crawl space there are only two possibilities: The wrong blade on the motor or the radon blade is mounted backwards.
Air Vent has two motors: one for the standard power foundation vents and one for our quiet vents. While it is possible to switch the motors it would not make a difference in the airflow direction because both motors have clockwise rotation when looking at the shaft. The difference is the fan blades. The blade for the standard units pull air across the motor in clockwise rotation and the radon blade pushes air across the motor in the clockwise rotation. It is easy to tell one blade from the other; the standard blade has 4 fat paddles and the radon blade has 6 thin paddles. So if the radon unit is pulling air out of the crawl space there are only two possibilities: The wrong blade on the motor (4 blade) or the radon blade is mounted backwards.
