Does the external baffle height on the ridge vent matter?
The higher the external baffle, the faster the wind accelerates over it, the lower the static pressure produced, the greater it can exhaust air.
The higher the external baffle, the faster the wind accelerates over it, the lower the static pressure produced, the greater it can exhaust air. Other externally baffled vents will perform similarly given equal baffle heights; the difference between the vents then becomes the internal restrictions specific to each vent. The more restrictions inside the vent, the lower the vent's performance.
