# Can The Edge Vent be used in conjunction with cedar shake applied on a 16/12 pitch roof?

## Using The Edge Vent in conjunction with Cedar Shake will be OK.

Using The Edge Vent in conjunction with Cedar Shake will be OK. Attention will need to be given to the fastening of the Cedar Shake through The Edge Vent and ultimately through the roof deck so as to not nail through the open slot inside the vent and in the deck. The Edge Vent does not have a maximum roof pitch limit. Thus, 16/12 will be fine.
