Can an installer miter cut the end of The Edge Vent to become tapered to the outside edge of the rake of the roof?

It is possible to cut the bottom of The Edge Vent and leave the top piece intact where it can be sloped down to blend in to the decking in a gradual taper, but the installer will need to come up with a solution for the gap created by this. Air Vent at the present time does not make a transition piece to handle an application such as this. It may be possible to build up this transitional area with scrap shingle remnants.
